For decades, Church historians and the curriculum they produced informed Latter-day Saints about authentic historical sources that related information about Cumorah/Ramah and the translation of the plates by means of the Urim and Thummim that came with the plates.
No longer.
Everyone would be well-served if the historians decided to change course and educate Latter-day Saints about these topics.
