contention

The prevalence of a spirit of contention amongst a people is a certain sign of deadness with respect to the things of religion. When men's spirits are hot with contention, they are cold to religion. - Jonathan Edwards “The Book of Mormon does not supplant the Bible. It expands, extends, clarifies, and amplifies our knowledge of the Savior. Surely, this second witness should be cause for great rejoicing by all Christians.” - Joseph B. Wirthlin

When do we get the new stuff?

At an institute fireside a few years ago that I attended with Elder Bednar someone asked him a question that hasn’t left my mind. They asked “Why do the apostles always teach the same things in general conference? When do we get the new stuff” Elder Bednar leaned down into the microphone and said very reverent but firm voice, “When you start following what we are teaching you now.” He continued, “Do you think I want to keep teaching about Tithing or the law of chastity? I would love to share more things with you, but until you listen to what we are teaching, now we cannot share more with you.”

What LDS believe

Wild things Latter-day Saints believe: – An eternal God came to earth – He turned water into wine, healed the sick, and raised the dead – He died on a cross and was resurrected – His apostles recorded His words and works for future followers – Salvation comes by believing in Him

How to remember names

Oz Pearlman teaches you how to never forget the name of someone you just met. I’ve been using these techniques for a couple months and they work brilliantly.
